To create these beautiful coasters, they are turned and sanded on a lathe prior to creating the delicate spiral-like or adzed design on the inside. The coasters are then sprayed with two coats of a durable lacquer finish.
Yew wood is one of the hardest of all softwoods and is very strong. The heartwood is an orangish-brown with the sapwood is a whiteish or tan colour.
Please note that no two Yew Wood Coasters are alike with unique shapes, colouring, and sizes.
